b'Reflections from new residentsL to R: recent residents Allyn & Mary Ann, Lois & Danny, and RayMany whove inquired about our community and lifestyle over the past eighteen months are surprised to learnthat new move-ins havent shown any signs of slowing. In fact, over this period, more than 100 new residents decided to call Shannondell home. We thought you might enjoy hearing from a few of these newcomers. Theexcerpts below are taken from a recent meeting. We thank our residents for their candid thoughts and kind words. QOur hope is that these insights are helpful as you consider future living plans, possibly including Shannondell. When did you move to Shannondell and what attracted you here? I moved from nearby Trappe in September of last year (2020), but I dont recall everseeing the community. My daughter introduced me, and I came here and was blown away, even when it wasnt fully open. I thought (and still think), its like Disney! We moved not too long after Ray, in January of this year from Valley Forge, so just over the river. We had visited several other communities in the area, but none seemed to offer the same type of financial arrangements that Shannondell does, meaning youre not just renting . your entrance fee gives you lifetime use of a residence, and this fee is mostly refundable. From our standpoint, that was preferable. We also viewed the size and quality of Shannondell as advantages. And when you visit and meet the residents, its immediately clear that they are genuinely happy. I can tellyou thats not the case in many of the others we visited. We picked up the same vibe on our first visit. We tried to get residents to tell us what they didnt like and couldnt get any answers. That told us a lot. We also like the fact that Shannondell is gated . safe, secure and comfortable. These were all aspects that pushed us to move here in August of this year (2021). 4'
